Second annual “Race 4 Kyron”

Central Point, Ore. — People from around Southern Oregon met at Champion Raceway in Central Point for the second annual “Race 4 Kyron”.

Desiree Young started the “Race 4 Kyron” as a way to raise awareness about her son, Kyron Hormon’s disappearance.

Kids spent the evening competing in power wheel races and adults got the chance to race their cars against each other.

Young says the support from the community has been phenomenal, “You just keep plugging along. You don’t ever give up and you do what you have to do to keep going and to keep hope alive and to keep people looking for him.”

Half of the proceeds from the event go to Kyron’s search fund.

Kyron was last seen in June of 2010 at Skyline Elementary School in Portland.
