Security Guards Arrested For Impersonating Police Officers

Medford Police arrested twin brothers and one of them is facing charges of impersonating a police officer.

The 29 year old Libby brothers, Jason and Don, were arrested for separate incidents that occurred last month.

Police say last month Jason Libby, who owns a security firm with his brother, used force when attempting to arrest a man for trespassing at Weldon’s Dry Cleaners.

Jason Libby also allegedly injured a woman who attempted to intervene when she realized that he was not a police officer.

Don Libby was arrested last week stemming from an incident where a Medford Police Officer noticed him giving a field sobriety test to an eighteen year old male he had pulled over.

Both brothers drive retired police cars and dress in uniform’s very similar to that of the Medford Police Department.

Jason Libby faces charges of assault and harassment. Don Libby is being charged with two counts of criminal impersonation.
