Serious crash in Josephine County kills three, dog

Josephine Co., Ore. — A serious crash in Josephine County Friday night took the lives of three people and a dog. Around 7:30 PM, Oregon State Police responded to O’Brien road near Highway 199 for a head-on crash.

Troopers said a Subaru Legacy driven by Tommy Dodson, 69. lost control, and crossed the center line. The car hit a Mazda Protege head-on. The driver of that car, Michael Kennedy, 62, and his passenger, Tammy Blind, 52, were both killed.

Dodson, as well as a dog in his car, were also pronounced dead on scene. OSP said speed and alcohol are being considered factors in the crash. They said Dodson also had a suspended license.
