Shooter targets home of Klamath Falls officer

Klamath Falls, Ore. – Klamath Falls police are looking for a suspect that fired shots at a law enforcement officer’s home. The shots were fired at about 10:30 Saturday night in a neighborhood near Soquel and Angle Streets.

Neighbor Perry Chocktoot said, “I came out of the house and my neighbor said he thought it came from down the road. I went around the corner, and there was a bunch of neighbors standing out front of two vehicles shot up full of holes.”

“Approximately 5 to 7 shots were fired at that time,” said Sergeant Rob Reynolds of the Klamath Falls Police Department. “It was shot into a residence later identified as one of our local law enforcement officials,” he added.

Police aren’t releasing the name of that officer, or which agency they work for reasons of confidentiality.
