Snow forecast looking good for outdoor sports business

Ashland, Ore — Several local businesses are excited to hear Mt. Ashland’s opening this weekend.

At the Ashland Outdoor Store employees say their customers have been visiting in droves anticipating the start of ski and snowboard season.

With big announcements from Mt. Ashland and other ski parks, employees say they’re as excited as their customers.

“Everybody is so stoked, everybody is so excited, people just keep coming in and buying their socks and their skiis and it’s just been really awesome,” said Lacey Hofweber.

Hofweber says the big sellers this year are base layers for keeping the snow out and extra warm socks.

Ashland Outdoor Store also does rentals.
