SOU Student Honors David Grubbs Friday

Amusic composition major atSOU is using his talent to reach out to a mourning community.

Guitarist and composer, Tye Austin Hoseclaw is holding a recital program Friday, and dedicating it to David Michael Grubbs.

Grubbs, 23,was brutally murdered in November of last year along the Ashland bikeway.

Hoseclaw will present original works at theSOU recital hall at 12:30 Fridayafternoon. The event is free and open to the public.

Meanwhile, the investigation into Grubb’s death continues.

New numbers outFriday morning show the overall cost of the case is reaching close to $100,000.

The Ashland Police Department alone have spent nearly $75,000 investigating the case.

And the Medford Police Department, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Oregon State Police have all spent just over $24,000 in overtime.

Police still have no suspects.
