Dennis Murphy and the Panthers hit the road to Portland just before noon. South Medford has a storied history at the state tourney, but this team is probably the most unique. Coach Murphy “We are a great Cinderella story..we were overlooked and no one gave us a shot to do what we we’ve done” Meanwhile on the north campus they also loaded up the caravan headed for the rose city.
the black tornado feel they owe south one for that final loss in conference. Senior Trey Garfas says, “we’re all excited that we get another shot at them, this time in the state tournament hopefully we make the most of it” For those on last year’s squad they also get another chance to play at the Rose Garden and go after the state title. Senior Winger Chris Faust says “Stoked can’t wait to get up their and play some basketball we were there last year it’s awesome feeling to play on the Blazers court” It all goes down tomorrow afternoon 3:15 pm another great chapter in Medford sports
