Still Little Clues In David Grubbs Murder Case

Nearly two years later and still no leads.

Detectives in Ashland are still actively working the David Grubbs murder case.

November 19, 2011.

The body of 23 year old David Grubbs is found on the bike path behind Hunter Park in Ashland.

Police say he was nearly decapitated by a roughly foot-long knife.

And now almost2 years later, no suspect has been named.

“There is no new information,” said Ashland Police Chief Terry Holderness.

Hesays this is the biggest case the department has dealt with in decades.

“We’ve already released all the details we can release without endangering our investigation.”

But even two years after his death, tips still trickle in.

Meanwhile, a memorial that was set up for Grubbs shortly after his murder not only stands as a remembrance of his life but also holds out hope that justice will be found.

If you have any information regarding this case you are asked to call Ashland Police.
