The man charged with murder in a shooting Monday appeared in court for the first time on Tuesday.
Robert Kahlil Davies-Calhoun was arrested yesterday after the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says he shot and killed 53-year-old Douglas Mitchell Spaur.
It happened around 9:30 a.m. outside the Stop N’ Go on Table Rock Road.
Davies-Calhoun was wanted on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants but is now also facing murder charges.
Today, he pleaded not guilty to those misdemeanor warrants but did not enter a plea on the murder charge.
Besides the misdemeanors and murder charge, Davies-Calhoun has no prior criminal record.
He’s being held without bail.
