Suspects sought in Klamath County burglary

Rocky Point, Ore. – A $1000 reward is being offered for information on a burglary that happened early Tuesday morning near the unincorporated community of Rocky Point.

Surveillance video shows two men breaking in to a cabin near Rocky Point on Highway 140.

“They took all the electronics,” said Deputy Mark Borges of the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office. “Anything that had to do with computers, and TV’s–and one enclosed cargo trailer.”

Borges adds the trailer is white in color, with a ‘Royal Rangers’ logo on the side. “As soon as we can get a plate from the owners, we can put a track on it a little better with the national database.”

The burglary took place in a cabin at a motel and store currently under renovation.

Deputy Borges says it’s the fifth recent theft in the area. “The Odessa Market has three, I believe, that we looked up and there’s been one out farther past Rocky Point on Pelican Butte Road.”

It’s unclear if the burglaries are connected.

The owners say this is the third time in three years the complex has been vandalized.
