Ashland, Ore. — Fire officials are investigating what they’re calling a suspicious grass fire that sparked in Ashland.

Around one Saturday afternoon, more than a dozen fire engines were called to the 2000 block of Siskiyou boulevard, near the railroad tracks. Three helicopters were also brought in to help fight the blaze.

Fire officials said it quickly grew to nearly eight acres, but crews were able to knock most of it down by 2:30 PM.

A greenhouse in the area was slightly melted, but no other structures or homes were damaged. No one was injured.

Fire investigators are working to determine exactly how it started; they do say it’s human caused.
