The day ahead in William Simmons murder trial

On day two of the murder trial for William Frank Simmons, jurors will visit the Ruch field where the body of 15-year-old Kaelin Glazier was found in 2008.

Glazier went missing in 1996. Her body was found across the street and in proximity to Simmons trailer at the time she disappeared.

Simmons was the last known person to have seen the South Medford High School student who was supposed to be in Bible class at a local church the night she went missing.

Glazier’s body was found unburied on a property just 80-feet from Simmons former residence. The homeowner on that neighboring property was mowing the lawn when he came across the girl’s remains that police say appeared to be dragged and dumped there.

Simmons trial is expected to last several weeks.
