The ‘Drive Less Challenge” Kicks Off This Week

A local challenge that asked residents to step away from their cars and use public transportation is now going statewide.

This week, the Rogue Valley Transportation District and other public transit agencies across the state are presenting the Drive Less Challenge’.

It’s in an effort to reduce nearly half a million vehicle miles from Oregon roadways in twelve days.

It’s estimated Oregonian’s drive approximately 33.4 billion vehicle miles annually, at a cost of $1.4 billion in gas.

By taking the pledge this year you could win prizes like a kindle fire, a $150 Nike gift card, or the grand prize of a 2,600 custom bike.
