Transients arrested after starting warehouse fire in Medford

warehouse fireMedford, Ore. — Two transients are arrested after starting a fire that burned an abandoned warehouse Friday morning.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says the transients made a warming fire on the 900 block of Mason Way in Medford about 4:30, when it got out of control and went through metal seams of the warehouse into the interior of the building.

Fire District 3 quickly contained the fire and no one was injured.

The extent of the damage is not yet known.

The investigation is ongoing.
