ASHLAND, Ore — A truck driver was airlifted to the hospital after his semi-truck full of sand tipped over.
The accident happened on the i-5 Siskiyou summit this afternoon.
Jackson county fire district five says crews had to use hydraulic rescue tools to get the driver out, and mercy flights transported him to the nearest hospital.
Several crews assisted; including the Ashland fire department and Oregon state police.
