United Way’s ‘Day of Caring’ brings in 400 volunteers

Medford, Ore. — Over 400 volunteers took part in several community service projects around the Rogue Valley on Saturday. It was all part of United Way’s ‘Day of Caring.’

The groups painted, cleaned, and did yard work for 20 different non-profit organizations.

“You get a chance to give back, and then you realize that it really makes you feel better the more you do this kind of stuff, you feel better about yourself and your community,” Charley Bolen said, this year’s Board Director of United Way.

This is United Way’s 20th annual ‘Day of Caring.’ Organizers say it grows bigger every year.
