Valley Residents Protest Incarceration of Pvt. Bradley Manning

A number of Rogue Valley residents showed support for a Private First Class soldier accused of giving classified U.S.Government documents to the web site Wikileaks.

Today rallies were held nationwide including Medford to show support for Bradley Manning.

His trial begins Monday.

Manning has already admitted to a variety of lesser charges, but he still faces more serious charges.

Ralliers likeAllen Hallmarksay he did nothing wrong and he should be set free.

“He was hoping to open up our eyes about what was going on and why this war was being prosecuted in a way that was detrimental to our troops, to the civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

If found guilty, Manning could spend the rest of his life behind bars.
