Vigil set to remember victims of domestic abuse

DVAMGrants Pass, Ore. —  It’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Josephine County is remembering victims.

The Women’s Crisis Support Team, a Grants Pass organization to help battle domestic violence is holding a candle vigil on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. on the steps of the Josephine County courthouse to commemorate the 46 victims who have died at the hands of abusers in the past 45 years.

The support team placed purple flags in front of the courthouse at the beginning of the month to help spread awareness.
