Volunteers clean up graffiti with former tagger

Medford, Ore.–A man who used to tag in the area, turned things around today by helping a group of volunteers clean up graffiti in west Medford.

The group called, ‘Jackson County Scanner’ posts crimes on their Facebook page and helped police arrest 27-year-old Heath Sartin.

When sartin got out of jail he contacted the group and said he wanted to correct his wrong doing.

That’s exactly what sartin and the scanner group did today in a West Medford neighborhood.

“It’s been a pretty good experience. I feel pretty good giving back to where i’ve taken from the community. Ifeel a lot better seeing it get cleaned up instead of looking terrible all over town,” said Sartin.

All of the chemicals to remove the graffiti were donated by cleaning solutions and supply in Medford.

The group hopes to expand the campaign they’re calling “No-Tag Medford”
