Water Levels & The Upcoming Storm

If the weather is on your nerves, just wait, there’s a silver lining to all these clouds. According to water experts, we’re still about four inches behind where we should be on water levels, but tomorrow’s storm should help add to that.

The US drought monitor for the National Weather Service shows parts of the Southern Oregon area to be abnormally dry. Many are hoping this next storm sticks.

Jay Stockton with the National Weather Services says “because it’s a cold storm, the snow is expected to add to our overall snow pack and will stay until the spring that melts it into the springs.”

Water experts don’t expect this one storm to fill the gap, they say it’s likely that we could see more storms like it before summertime.
