Wine Bill Heads to the Oregon House for Approval

In the Oregon Legislature, a bill that would allow wine enthusiasts to purchase their wine in reusable containers is headed to the House for final approval.

The House Business and Labor Committee amended bill 2443, and then passed it unanimously.

It would allow wine buyers to take beer-style “growlers” or other re-usable containers, and fill them directly at stores, taverns and restaurants.

Wineries say it is what consumers want and will increase sales.
