Yreka, Calif. — A man is behind bars tonight after he allegedly attempted to stab a deputy.
The Siskiyou County sheriff’s Office says 30-year-old Cody Sutton became combative when a deputy approached him on Tuesday.
Sutton has an outstanding felony warrant for failing to appear on a burglary charge.
The sheriff’s office says Sutton attempted to stab the deputy and then fled on foot.
The deputy received minor injuries. Sutton was arrested at around 1:20 this morning on April 1st, he is being held without bail at the Siskiyou County Jail on multiple charges, including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and assault on a peace officer.
