MEDFORD, Ore. – A Saint Mary’s teacher has won a major research grant to maximize solar energy.
Saint Mary’s school science teacher and alum Sean Snider has been awarded a $19,000 grant from Murdock Trust’s Partners in Science Program.
The money is to help study how to make solar panels last longer.
Over the next 2 summers, Snider will be working with professors at the University of Oregon physics department.
They’ll be studying how to reduce the damage of the sun’s rays on solar panels.
