Medford, Ore. – A Rogue Valley woman who works closely with animals is receiving a national award. Lona Gibbs is a certified veterinary technician at Southern Oregon Veterinary Speciality Center in Medford. She was selected from more than 48-hundred nominations to receive the National Veterinary Technician Award. Lona’s nomination letter says she has amazing compassion for people, unsurpassed compassion for animals and is a consummate professionals with her coworkers.
