Medford, Ore. — A Medford man accused of shooting and killing another man in his backyard back in May is undergoing a mental health evaluation in Salem.
The court ordered the transfer of 23-year-old Vincent DiCostanzo at the end of last month.
Medford Police say DiCostanzo shot 34-year-old Luke Barmes while attempting to sell or trade him a handgun.
Police say the shooting was not intentional, but say DiCostanzo acted recklessly. DiCostanzo is also facing felony drug charges in a separate case.
