Man reportedly jumps into passing vehicle, tells officers to shoot him

0909-timothy-curtisMedford, Ore. – Police responded to reports of a disorderly man on Riverside and Stewart Avenues in Medford Friday morning.

Medford Police said 21-year-old Timothy Curtis was walking in the roadway and reportedly jumped into a passing vehicle. The owner of the vehicle was able to chase Curtis off using a crowbar.

MPD said Curtis was possibly armed with a knife and demanded that police shoot him when he was confronted by officers. Curtis was tased and taken into custody.
