Man arrested for assault now faces firearms, explosives, drug charges

0506 mcoskerKlamath Falls, Ore. – A Klamath Falls man who is behind bars facing Measure 11 assault charges for allegedly punching a woman in the face has now been charged with additional crimes.

45-year-old Theodore Mcosker was arrested Wednesday afternoon on charges including second degree assault, and menacing.

Mcoskar is also accused of pointing a handgun at the victim and another man, leading to an additional charge of being a felon in possession of a weapon.

Police say that during the course of the investigation, information was obtained that indicated Mcosker could be in the possession of pressure cookers, chemicals, and other items related to the manufacture of methamphetamine. Information also surfaced that Mcosker could possibly be involved with illegally growing marijuana.

In addition, officers say Mcosker may have possessed gun powder and other substances related to the manufacture of explosive devices.

The Klamath Falls Police Department says that after a search of Mcosker’s residence on the 300 block of South Eldorado Avenue, officers found evidence of the manufacture of explosives and possession of marijuana.

The Oregon State Police Bomb Squad and Oregon State Police Drug Enforcement Section assisted in the investigation.

On Friday, Mcosker was charged with possession and manufacture of explosive, a class C felony. He was also charged with possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor.
