Medford, Ore. — Medford police are investigating after a man was found dead in Hawthorne Park on Saturday. According to police, the man was found dead near the bike path Saturday morning. They say it’s likely he froze to death.
Staff at the Medford Gospel Mission say it’s something they work to prevent.
“There’s a lot of people who just choose to stay outside unfortunately, and it’s harder in places like this cause there’s rules that you’ve got to go by, and some people just don’t want to go by any rules,” Michael Shepard said.
An autopsy has not been done yet, and the man’s name is not being released at this time.
