Medford, Ore. – A 27-year-old mother received her sentence Tuesday after pleading guilty to assaulting her daughter.
The Jackson County D.A.’s Office says Felicia Burton will serve 5 years and 10 months behind bars, with 3 years post-prison supervision for second degree assault, and first degree criminal mischief.
In September of 2014, authorities say Burton stuck her then 3-year-old’s arms under scalding hot water when the toddler defecated in her pants.
Burton’s sentencing takes effect tomorrow.
