Medford police investigate bank robbery

Medford, Ore. — Medford police responded to reported robbery at about 3:00 Monday afternoon at the Bank of the Cascades on Crater Lake Highway.

Police say a man walked in and handed a note demanding money to one of the tellers before running towards Kaleidoscope Pizza with an undisclosed amount of money.

“That’s why these people need to be held accountable for doing this type of thing is because there is a victim and it affects them drastically to do their job day in and day out,” said Lt. Justin Ivens.

No weapon was seen during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male, 32 to 40 years old about 6 feet tall, 160 pounds with long black hair and a black beard, wearing a faded baseball hat and black hoodie with washed out jeans.
