Medford Police seeking bank robbery suspect

Medford, Ore. – Police are looking or a lone suspect who robbed a Medford bank Monday afternoon.

Medford Police said the robbery occurred at around 2:58 p.m. at the Bank of the Cascades on Crater Lake Highway.

According to MPD, officers arrived at the bank within minutes of the robbery. They learned a male suspect fled on foot southbound from the bank. He had taken an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers searched the area but they were unable to locate a suspect.

Employees at the bank said the suspect entered the bank and demanded money, there were no weapons seen. There were no customers inside the bank at the time.

Police describe the suspect as a white man, between the ages of 32 and 40, 6’0” tall, weighing around 160 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, light-colored pants, black shoes, a black hat and glasses.

MPD said the suspect had a black beard and long black hair, which could have been a disguise.

Police are investigating along with the FBI. Anyone with information is asked to call the Medford Police Department.
