Medford teen struck by car in hit and run

CRASH 3Medford, Ore. — A Medford family is asking for the public’s help, after their son was hit by a car on Sunday in a hit and run accident.

Tyler Oaches, 15, says he was riding his long board down Stewart avenue near Dixie lane around noon on Sunday. He says he was riding in the bike lane, and crossing the street when he was hit, sending Oachs  flying over the car, and sending his long board into the street.

“It ended up in the middle of the road, and they went down the road a little ways, pulled over, sat there, and then continued driving,” Oachs said.

He was taken to the hospital, and has a bruised bone, but is otherwise alright. The suspect car is described as an older model white sedan.

The family has filed a police report, and is asking anyone who might have seen anything to contact Medford Police.
