Medford woman sues Carl’s Jr.

Medford, Ore.–  A woman is suing a local fast food  restaurant after she says she slipped on their wet floor.

Case documents obtained by NBC5 shows Carolyn Neville is asking for more than $600,000 from JCK Restaurants Incorporated, the owner of Carl’s Jr.

According to the document, Neville claims she was dining at the Carl’s Jr. on Crater Lake Highway in December of 2014 when she slipped and fell on a freshly mopped floor.

Neville alleges Carl’s Jr. employees knew or should have known she was not in a position to see them mopping the floor. The lawsuit also claims employees did not place a “wet floor” sign or provide any warning there was liquid on the floor.

Neville claims to have sustained several injuries including muscle and joint damage, so serious that she required surgery.

According to court documents, Neville is seeking no more than $500,000 in non-economic damage. The final sum would be determined by a jury if Neville’s lawsuit succeeds in court. $116,928.97 are being sought for medical expenses and lost wages.
