Medford, Ore. – The local singer/gas station attendant who starred in a video that went viral earlier this year has released his first music video.

In January, a woman shared a clip of Jacob “Jake” Howard serenading her while she was getting gas at the Shell gas station on the corner of Central and Jackson in Medford. That video quickly went viral, garnering over 200,000 views on NBC5’s Facebook page.

In an exclusive interview, Howard said It’s something he started doing a few weeks earlier. “I do it mainly just because I’ve got time on my hands and it’s fun.”

Around two months after Howard’s video went viral, he shared his debut music video on Facebook and YouTube along with the following statement:

Finally Up. This project couldn’t have gotten anywhere without Gavin A Banks and Josh Hogeland. Thank you everyone that has been waiting patiently for my Same Drugs Medley and putting up with the late post! More projects to come! The journey is just starting!

Howard said he wants to encourage others to follow their passion and do what they love.
