Minnesota police shooting shown live on Facebook

NC_mnshootingam0707_1500x845Minneapolis, Minn. (KARE) — Philando Castile died Wednesday night after an officer-involved shooting outside Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The incident is getting a lot of attention because it was streamed live on Facebook, capturing the moments right after Castile was shot.

In the video, a woman who identifies herself as Castile’s girlfriend says they were pulled over for a broken taillight.

She says on camera that police shot him for no apparent reason.

A peaceful gathering of about 50 to 80 people is outside the Governor’s Mansion in St. Paul, Minnesota, where they are demanding Governor Mark Dayton come out and make a statement about the shooting.
