Bend, Ore. – The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office said a man who was reported missing after becoming separated from his hiking partner on South Sister was found alive Monday afternoon.
Portland NBC affiliate KGW reports the search for Gerald Derrickson began after he failed to return to the trailhead as planned late Saturday afternoon.
