Missing man found deceased

FullSizeRenderUpdate (06/23 12:50 p.m.) — Medford Police say 77-year-old Jerry Worthington was found deceased in the U.S. Cellular Sports Park in Medford at around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

According to police, no foul play is suspected.


Medford, Ore., — A Medford man confined to his wheel chair is missing tonight and thought to be in danger. Now his family is frantically trying to find him.

77- year- old Jerry Worthington’s family says he suffers from brain damage due to a severe motorcycle accident..and that he’s also a diabetic.

The family tells NBC5 News he was last seen at Charles Point Apartments in Medford this afternoon.

Worthington also left his home with his dachshund dog.

Emotional relatives hope if someone sees him, they’ll call Medford Police or sheriff’s deputies.

Worthington’s wife, Beth Worthington says, “going through my head right now is that he’s off his wheelchair and hurt some place, and he doesn’t have any way to contact us and tell us where he’s at”

The family also says the 77-year-old man frequents the U.S. Cellular Sports Park in Medford.

Worthington was last seen on his red motorized wheelchair wearing grey pants, a green shirt, black shoes, and glasses.

Again, he was with his dachsund dog.
