Mother’s Day in the Rogue Valley

Medford, Ore. — From flowers and cards to hugs and presents, moms all across the Rogue Valley were celebrated this past Mother’s Day. Hundreds of people enjoyed the sunshine in downtown Medford.

Art in Bloom was still in full swing Sunday morning, and a lot of families took the opportunity to get outside.

We spoke with a number of fathers, sons, and daughters, and asked them what makes mom so special.

“She’s kind and that she loves us,” said Grady.

Colton said, “She’s the most beautiful and lovely and happy and amazing person on the earth!”

“I made stuff for mommy for Mother’s Day, some of them was from school, and some was from home,” said Cambria.

“And I got a flower for mommy,” added Brayden.

Devin Zupin said, “Taking mom out to hopefully show her a good day.”

“We’re celebrating today, and trying to give back a little bit,” said Jordan.

Just a fun fact for you, according to CNBC, if mom were to have a salary for all the work she does, it would be just under $63,000 a year!
