Multiple shots fired in downtown Chiloquin

Chiloquin, Ore. – Police are investigating an incident in Chiloquin that left two vehicles damaged and broke a door at the local library.

The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office said on Monday night, dispatchers received multiple reports of shots being fired in downtown Chiloquin. Klamath County deputies and Oregon State Police Troopers responded.

Witnesses told police as many as three vandals fired multiple shots from a “small caliber rifle” as they moved through town under the cover of darkness.

Police said two vehicles were struck by bullets while they were traveling over the Williamson River Bridge. A glass door at the library was also damaged. Nobody was injured in the incident.

Police are actively investigating, and no other details will be released at this time.
