Weather advisory

Multiple weather watches in effect for the region

Much of southern Oregon and northern California are under multiple weather watches and warnings Saturday night.

According to the National Weather Service, heavy rainfall and small stream flooding is possible. The region is also under a wind advisory.

Meteorologists say tonight gusts could reach up to 40 miles per hour in Medford, and nearly 60 in Ashland.

Meteorologists say if we continue to see this type of heavy rainfall, the current drought in southern Oregon could possibly end by the summer months.
