National Weather Service warns about flooding

Medford, Ore., — The National Weather Service is warning residents to be prepared for flooding, even here in the city.

With a system coming in over night, all the melting snow and ice may be a big problem in certain areas.

“Some smaller creeks and streams, they could come up as culverts get blocked, but it will mostly like small streams and local urban areas where the storm drains could get blocked with ice and other debris from the past week.” said Senior Meteorologist, Sven Nelaimischkies

A lot of the region is under a flood watch Saturday night. Meteorologists say that warning will last through Sunday evening.
