Medford police now have a new station.
It officially opened today.
The station is located on the corner of 8th and South Ivy streets.
Construction began in April of last year.
Mayor Gary Wheeler says he is proud the facility was completed on time and under budget.
“They have great training facilities… great locker rooms… everything. Everything is really state of the art. This will be a facility that will serve our city long beyond after I’m gone,” Wheeler said.
Chief Sparacino says the building is designed to improve the department’s efficiency.
