Salem, Ore. — With the fires burning right now in Southern Oregon, state officials are reminding everyone to help prevent wildfires.
The Oregon Department of Forestry said since the beginning of the year, 486 wildfires have been started by people with at least one due to arson.
14 other fires are being investigated as arson. Governor Kate Brown and the state fire marshal are asking folks tonight to be aware of the dry conditions and report any suspicious behavior to law enforcement.
