ODOT: Drive like your mother is watching

Medford, Ore. – The Oregon Department of Transportation has been using their electronic signs along Interstate 5 to display distracted driving messages for weeks. Now, they want your input.

The two-month pilot project uses variable messages on ODOT signs in an effort to combat distracted driving.

ODOT said the goal of the project is to determine what types of messages are most effective at changing unsafe driving behavior.

Now, officials want your suggestions. You can send your distracted driving safety message to ODOT via Facebook or Twitter.

ODOT asks that you keep the messages brief, with no more than three lines and 18 characters per line.
