Bristol, Tenn. (WCYB) — One person is dead and four more wounded after an early morning shooting spree in Bristol, Tennessee.
According to police, the shooter had at least two weapons and fired shots at the Days Inn and at several vehicles traveling on Volunteer Parkway.
According to the Bristol Herald Courier, the person killed was Jennifer Brewer Rooney, 44. She was a newspaper carrier traveling to pick up papers Thursday morning.
The Days Inn desk clerk was also shot several times.
The gunman was wounded in an exchange of gunfire with police officers and taken into custody.
