MEDFORD, Ore. – A person died after being hit by a vehicle on Interstate 5.
Oregon State Police said at about 2:35 a.m. on Monday, May 3, a pedestrian was in the middle I-5 near Medford for unknown reasons and was struck by a passing semi-truck.
According to OSP, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His name will be released at a later time.
The driver of the semi-truck reportedly stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
No further information was provided by OSP.
