Pedestrian killed in Phoenix

PHOENIX, Ore. – A pedestrian was killed in a fatal crash in Phoenix Wednesday night.

According to investigators, at about 6:00 p.m. on November 13, a 58-year-old Medford woman was driving a Honda Accord northbound on Highway 99. Near milepost 11 in Phoenix, 57-year-old Mark Cooper walked in front of the Honda and was hit.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said Cooper was taken to a Medford hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies provided no further information about the incident.
