Central Point, Ore. – Police are issuing a new warning. Central Point Police said scammers may be after your money.
Here’s how it works: Police say someone calls saying they work for the government and want to offer you a grant.
They may confirm a few personal details to appear legitimate. Police said they aren’t.
The scammers will then ask for your account information so they can give you money.
Whatever you do, don’t give out that information over the phone.
