0415 suspect vehicle driverMedford, Ore.  – Medford Police have released surveillance images of a man they say was the driver of a vehicle connected to an attempted purse-snatching. They are attempting to locate the man with the hope that he can lead them to a woman police say tried to steal an 80-year-old woman’s purse, knocking her over in the process.

Officers say that around 10:45 Tuesday morning, a gold Chevy Yukon pulled up next to the victim in front of Lowe’s Home Improvement in Medford. A woman jumped out of the Yukon and grabbed the victim’s purse. The victim fought back, but she ended up falling to the ground.

Police say the victim was able to hold on to her purse, but unfortunately was injured from the fall.

The suspect is described by officers as a woman in her 20s with a heavy build. She was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up, black yoga pants, and sandals.

According to police, the vehicle had paper covering the license plates. They urge people to keep an eye out for the vehicle, in case the suspect tries again.
