Portland protests continue

PORTLAND, Ore. (NBC) – Protesters and federal law enforcement continued to square off early Monday morning in Portland.

Clashes between protesters and police were the scene once again outside the federal courthouse in downtown.

Federal officers used tear gas and flash grenades to try and disperse the crowd of a few hundred people.

What started as a daily protest about racial injustice and police reform has turned into nightly demonstrations against federal law enforcement in the city.

On Sunday evening, one person was shot and injured during an argument between several people near the protest site.
